Organized by The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Education University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
How satisfied are students with their programmes across Hong Kong universities? To what extent do Hong Kong undergraduate students achieve their respective University Educational Aims (UEAs)? What factors enable or hinder student satisfaction and their attainment of the UEAs? Which type of learning experiences prove most beneficial and in which areas of UEAs? What good practices exist in different institutions according to the perspectives of students and programme leaders?
Drawing upon institutional data and interviews with students and programme leaders, the research teams from five Hong Kong universities — Hong Kong Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Education University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and The University of Hong Kong— explored the intricate landscape of student university experience and their impact on student satisfaction and attainment of university educational aims. These teams will share in this symposium the key findings from five institutions, compare findings across institutions and against the prevalent higher education quality assurance methods, and facilitate a dynamic discussion to collectively identify pathways for enhancing the overall student experience and achieving university educational aims.
