Abstract
Are you Visually Literate? What does it mean to be Visually Literate today? How do we teach Visual Literacy? How do we teach utilizing it as an interdisciplinary tool and a vehicle of learning? What are the VL skills and competencies for the 21st century? What are the standards, principles and guidelines we need to bear in mind when designing and assessing for VL-based learning experiences? This interactive workshop will present Visual Literacy from its theory and research to specific learning designs and assessments as applied to a variety of subject areas at higher education level.
